Race-segregated dorms? HUD investigating universities over ‘identity-based’ communities<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Trump administration is investigating a pair of federally funded universities accused of violating civil rights laws over their race-specific student-housing communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The University of Massachusetts Amherst, which received over $322 million in federal funding in fiscal year 2024, is home to five of what it calls “Defined Residential Communities” \u2014 “communities in residence halls where students can live with hall mates who share similar interests, backgrounds, and identifies.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
‘Re-create Jim Crow in the name of bizarro social justice.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They are as follows: the Asian\/Asian-American DRC; the disability DRC; the so-called “Latinx” DRC for Hispanics; the “Harambee” DRC for blacks; and the “Spectrum” DRC for non-straights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The University of Nevada, Reno \u2014 whose active federal awards as of summer 2025 totaled over $520 million \u2014 has a similar offering called “Living Learning Communities,” which are advertised as a way for students to “develop personal relationships with peers of similar academic, social, and cultural interests.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The University of Nevada, Reno, has the following identity-based LLCs: Asian Pacific Islander; black; LGBT; “Indigenous”; and “Latinx.” They are apparently housed on LLC-specific floors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s funny because when you look at who is segregating, it’s homosexuals and non-whites. It’s no secret that people naturally segregate because we all prefer to be around our own kind. This is what happens when we are forced into diversity and multiculturalism. It’s like putting two opposite ends of a magnet together, they naturally push apart. The really good part about this segregation, we as Whites had nothing to do with it, and all the homosexuals, non-whites, and crazy people left us out, so the White kids didn’t have to do it, they did. But they won’t call this segregation. They realize as soon as they do, White people will be all for it, and then they’re cut off from White people all together, and quite frankly, they can’t survive without us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
